The Autumn Playlist 2013

It’s that time of year again, when I can make delicious pumpkin flavored things in mass quantities, when I can bundle up fashionably, knowing all the while that I won’t really get too cold. Once more, it’s time to turn off the fans and the central air and just let the house exist in all its cool, perfectly sunny splendor, all the while soaking in the warmth emitted from an oven overused to make these Pumpkin Drop Cookies (recipe to come soon!):
Pumpkin Drop Cookies
Overall, I’d say I’m truly a summer person. It’s a little sad for me when the days become noticeably shorter, and when the leaves begin to fall from the trees. I do adore the colors of the changing leaves, though, and I am admittedly familiar with the fall-favorite, Pumpkin Spice Latte. While I dread the cold of winter-which, to me, is really what autumn predicts-I am always reminded this time of year that it’s important to enjoy the now. And right here, in front of you and me, is my autumn playlist. Rest assured, this is what I will be listening to while my stove and oven busy themselves making what I can only assume will be warm and roast-y dishes for this gorgeous, cooler weather. Here’s to another autumn full of recipe-sharing together.

What an awesome playlist. Those are the best fall cookies ever! I am also excited for the new Arcade Fire. I can’t wait to listen to all these songs in order and watch the snow fall here in Minnesota!

I absolutely can’t wait for Arcade Fire! Hopefully the snow won’t hit us in Minneapolis for a few more weeks…but at least we have some great music to listen to while we make more of these cookies! I think with this next batch we should try sharing them with people…
