One Year: Pineapple Mango Lassi
Banana Berry Lavender Smoothie
Serves 2
1 cup frozen mixed berries (mine had raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries)
1 banana
1 cup plain soy milk
1/4 cup cran-raspberry juice
1/2 cup crushed ice
2 tbsp honey, plus more for drizzling
pinch dried lavender (about 9-10 sprigs is perfect), plus more for decoration
Combine ingredients in a blender and liquify until consistency is smooth. Pour into two cups, drizzling each with honey and an additional sprinkling of lavender sprigs. Optional: drizzle each cup with honey before pouring the smoothie into the cups for extra honey flavor.
To achieve the honey crosshatch pictured, drizzle honey seven lines in one direction, then another seven in a direction perpendicular to that, followed by two circles around. Voila!
This was a great smoothie. It was both fruity and decadent while tasting really refreshing. I enjoyed the subtle lavender aroma. While the smoothie didn’t have the lavender flavor it did have a very obvious lavender smell. I think I read somewhere that smell plays a huge role in taste…so I guess that applies to this.
Thank you for your left over “smoovie!”

I’m glad you liked it! I try not to use too much lavender in things, since it can overpower things very quickly. I think this might be my new addiction, so get used to sharing it with me! 😛

Hi ya Kelsey! Happy New Year. I saved your present for 12th night festivities. I just opened it. How incredibly thoughtful of you to keep it all gluten free. Thank you, thank you. ~Janet

Happy New Year to you, too! I’m glad you liked it, and thank you for the lovely gift, as well! There have been many times that I haven’t made a recipe because it called for Maldon salt and I couldn’t find it, so I’m excited to finally get to try! 🙂
