The Autumn Playlist 2015

It’s been a few months since the last playlist. I suppose that’s obvious, isn’t it? I do post them with the start of each season, after all. Maybe this time around I am focusing on the time that has passed between playlists because it has been significant.
Yoga Mudra
The last playlist I made for you was created following a wave of tumult (that preceded an equally tumultuous Floridian welcome). If there is one thing I have learned from Ashtanga, it is that there is only truth in Pattabhi Jois’ words: “Practice, practice, and all is coming.” Goodness, did everything do just that! And with it, there were important lessons. Sure, some of them were Spike Jonze-inspired (because NO, we are not over how awesome Her is):

SPOILER ALERT: I don’t care if it’s only September. I’m dressing up as Theodore Twombly for Halloween.

Yes, you read that correctly. The girl who used to hate Halloween is PARTICIPATING THIS YEAR. I will give you a moment to gather all the things you just dropped in surprise.

Anyway, I don’t know. Maybe things are piecing themselves together. Maybe they were all along. Maybe it’s like Theodore here:
Her.
And Samantha replies, “Me too. Now we know how.” Except I feel like the lessons I learned were teaching me how to do lots and lots of things. And that first time I ever got my hands through my crossed legs and back to my smiling face was a pretty awesome byproduct.
Garbha Pindasana
And I don’t mean to brag or anything, but so is this mixtape.
